Isn’t that nice. Now we have a full week of holidays left, and don’t have to stress about Christmas. Lovely.
Not that I didn’t enjoy Christmas, I loved our Christmas. Monkey was high as a kite, but still we managed to keep him from climbing walls, breaking things… My mum and Markov (her partner) arrived on time, mum brought half the food, we had a nice Christmas dinner, and had just finished it when there was a knock on the door and Santa arrived. He was young, but very good. Monkey loved him. Except the fact that he arrived with a car, not reindeer. A big mistake.
Monkey got a sledge, skies, cars, trucks, books, puzzles, DVDs, and more. Still the number of presents was smaller then last year, 21 in total. It’s plenty for a little boy. We had divided them up for two days, first set came on Christmas eve and Santa, the next on St. Stephan’s day at my dads.
We had planned to go to my dad’s on Christmas day, but the snow was so heavy that we decided to move it to the following day, and spent Christmas day testing out the new sledge.
And eating leftover Christmas food as well…
We also continued testing our new dishwasher. and it’s still prefect. I love it.
My favourite present came from husband and was
It was bought from this shop Called Store of Hope.
It’s amazing and some of the money goes straight to helping people in need.
So our Christmas was nice and we had a lovely time at my dad’s on St. Stephen’s day, but I’m still glad that it’s all over. Now we don’t have to think about Christmas dinner for almost a year! YAY!!! (yes, I eat way too much)
Other then that, there’s not much to report. Monkey’s fairly good the whole time, he might actually go overnight to my mum’s tomorrow, and that would give husband and me some alone time.
We had some good friends coming over for new years, but one of them is on call at work, so it will be just us three. The neighbours asked what our plans are, but we want Monkey to go to bed at normal time (or not long after), and their daughter is staying up until midnight. They are the same age, so it seems a bit unfair to “force” Monkey to notice it. We’ll see.
Notka is doing fine, she’s an angle when you think about how Monkey “plays” with her and she doesn’t mind. Sometimes when she’s had enough she’ll give a short growl and walk away. She also seems to get livelier and livelier everyday, and loves to play and rip things, only her toys so far. A funny little dog. Now as soon as she stops peeing every time husband tells her something, it will all be fine. =D
